It’s official, after months of waiting Ghostlands is FINALLY on the block for connection.
For anyone who doesn’t know, connected realms are “a set of two or more standard realms that have been permanently and seamless “linked.” (http://us.battle.net/wow/en/blog/10551009)
While i can’t really say for sure how this will change the landscape of our (the Ghostlands population) game experience, the definite fact is that it WILL change it! All we can really do is take a look at what we are getting and perhaps guess at how it will affect us.
For those that don’t want to click. Dragonblight currently boasts the following:
Alliance: 65% (36k chars/12k @ 90)
Horde: 35% (20k chars/6k @ 90)
The raiding scene is dominated by the alliance (much like our own):
1x 25man guild with full SoO hc clear
1x 10man guild with full SoO hc clear
3x 10man guilds with 13/14hc
Basically, from an endgame point of view, we are getting more of the same…. no real evening of the population balance, and no massive influx of pro guilds. But a definite expansion of the player pool!
The doubled (slightly over) population should also stabilise/sort out the AH too.
